A program especially for Dads and Children in Grades K-3...
Sometimes Dads need ideas on how to spend time with their children and for more than 50 years, Adventure Guides and Princesses has been building and strengthening these relationships. Adventure Guides and Princesses provides many opportunities for Dads and their children to grow together through unique activities within a safe and fun enviroment. This program effectively shows Dad that the most valuable thing he can give to his children is, in fact, his time.
MOTTOS
- To be clean in body and pure in heart
- To be pals forever
- To love the sacred circle of my family
- To listen while others speak
- To love my neighbor as myself
TRIBES
Dads and children join local groups of 6-9 others to form a local tribe. Each Tribe meets once or twice a month in someone’s home for a short time of engaging activities and fellowship.
COUPS
In the Indian program, projects which parents and their children do together are called coups. The coups, once completed, are approved by the tribe, and the appropriate coup award is presented. Earning coup awards together is perhaps the primary method of enabling parents to spend time with their children. Click here to learn more about coups.
Annual Fee
$40.00 per child’s vest (optional)
$55.00 per adult’s vest (optional)
$85.00 per parent/child tepee

$70.00 per parent/child tepee for YMCA members

TIME COMMITMENT
Each tribe meets once or twice a month and then all tribes participate in a two-hour weekend “Nation events” once a month. These four-six hours per month will quickly become the focal point of your child.
