YMCA Camp Chandler is now a year round program with something for everyone. Camp has certainly grown from its roots as Camp Rotary, an 8 week summer camp only serving 2,000 campers. Today’s Camp Chandler serves over 13,000 people annually and has visitors on the camp ground over 250 days a year. In addition to Youth Overnight Camping, Retreats, and Outdoor Education, Camp Chandler also offers:
Team Building
The most successful organizations are those whose team members have the ability to communicate their ideas, make decisions, problem solve, and trust their peers. YMCA Camp Chandler’s Challenge Initiative Course is designed to help participants develop these skills and then learn how to apply these skills to “real-life” situations.
Adventure Guides
For more than 50 years, Adventure Guides has been building and strengthening relationships betweens Dads and their 5 to 8 year old children. Adventure Guides provides many opportunities for Dads and their children to grow together through unique opportunities within a safe and fun environment. This program effectively shows Dad that the most valuable thing he can give to his children is in fact, time.
Birthday Parties
Camp Chandler offer Birthday parties for children of all ages 5 and up. Let Camp Chandler do all of the work. Camp parties include 3 activities that you and your child choose, a meal, and cake and ice cream. All you have to do is call Camp Chandler at 229-0031 and send out invitations. A Birthday Party at camp Chandler will be an unforgettable experience.
Halloween Carnival
Camp Chandler’s Halloween Carnival has grown into an annual, signature event. Camp is the perfect place to come enjoy a crisp, autumn evening. Over 100 volunteers come together to put on our Carnival every year. Many families return year after year and make this part of their holiday traditions. Activities include a Carnival, Cake Walk, Little Pumpkin Play House, Hay rides, Raffle, Costume Contest, and Haunted House. The price is right and the fun is waiting for you.
