Available Summer Positions
Position: Counselor
Duties Include: Living in cabins with campers, maintaining control over cabin in all camp activities, teaching camp activities, and helping in program leadership. In addition, counselors assist in other camp duties as needed.
Salary: $130 per week and up + room and board
Qualifications: You must be highly motivated and reliable. Must be 16 years or older, camping experience preferred. Ideal candidates for summer camp counselors at Camp Chandler have experience working with children, are enthusiastic, and have a love for the outdoors.

Position: Horseback Director
Duties Include:
Taking care of 8 horses and teaching children ages 5-15 to ride the horses. In addition, horseback director will assist in other camp duties as needed. You will have a hand in developing our riding program for kids of all experience levels in addition to planning seven sessions of our Wrangler program. The Wrangler program is a specialty riding camp for our week-long campers.
Salary:
$175 per week and up + room and board.
Qualifications:
You must be highly motivated and reliable. Must be 21 years or older. Equestrian teaching experience is required. Experience caring for multiple horses is required. CHA certification is a plus. Ideal candidates for horseback director at Camp Chandler have experience working with children and horses, are enthusiastic, and have a love for the outdoors.

Position: Waterfront Director
Duties Include:
Supervising all waterfront activities and lifeguards. Primary responsibility is to supervise and manage all aspects of safety and programs at the waterfront. This includes day-to-day management of all aquatic activities (free swim, sailing, kayaking, waterskiing, tubing, wakeboarding, canoeing, etc). Secondary responsibility includes involvement in non-aquatic programs and aspects of residential camp as requested.
Salary: $200 per week and up + room and board
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years or older. Lifeguard certification and waterfront experience in open water is required. CPR/First Aid, Oxygen, and AED certifications are required. A Boating License and Lifeguard Instructor Certification is a plus.

Position: Boat Driver/Ski Instructor
Duties Include: The boat driver operates and maintains either the Ski Nautique or the deck boat, teaches skiing/tubing/banana boat/wakeboarding activities, and is a cabin counselor. In addition, the boat driver will help in other camp duties as needed.
Salary: $175 per week and up + room and board.
Qualifications: Must possess a valid boating license. Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications are required. Waterfront experience is required. Experience driving a ski nautique and experience as a ski instructor are preferred.

Position: Dining Hall Director
Duties Include: Work in dining hall area supervising kitchen staff, maintain all dining hall records, plan menus, assist in food ordering, run the camp store, provide food for up to 250-300 people a day, supervise the setup and clean up of the dining hall before and after meals, and other camp duties as needed.
Salary: $225 per week and up+ room and board.
Qualifications: Must be 21 years or older. Ideal candidates for the Dining Hall Director are good teamplayers, pay close attention to cleanliness, are adaptable, and are prompt. Food service experience is preferred.

Position: Media Director
Duties Include: Taking pictures during each camp session; creating slideshows, video, and DVDS; maintaining camp website; distributing camper/staff mail and e-mail; tallying camper and parent evaluations; creating counselor packets; office work; setting up for check-in and check-out; and other duties as needed.
Salary: $200 per week and up+ room and board
Qualifications: 18 years or older with photography experience and excellent computer skills. Must be very organized, creative, and successful with multi-tasking.

Position: LIT Director/Assistant Summer Program Director
Duties Include: Responsible for developing and implementing two three week session of the LIT program and fostering leadership experiences for the participants. The LIT Director will also serve as the Assistant Summer Program Director helping to plan, organize, and implement programming for the resident campers. This person will also help with other camp duties as needed.
Salary: $200 per week and up+ room and board
Qualifications: The ability to work well with teenagers and previous resident camping experience is preferred. Supervisory, administrative skills, and experience with leadership programs is preferred.
